Led by the talented Lori Sortino of Essence Captured, here’s how she describes this special experience:
“This is a photography retreat, different from a workshop. There will be NO teaching. This is a walking retreat on a 50-acre ranch with free roaming horses.
“We will carry our camera, walk the property, and when sensing or hearing the horses nearby, we’ll find a spot to sit and wait. As in wildlife photography, our intention will be to capture the natural behavior of the horses. We will not force any movement or go in with any expectations.
“You must be able to walk up and down hills, wear sturdy boots, and bring and carry your own food, water, and camera (nothing fancy required). At times you may need to duck under a fence or a tree branch, so being able-bodied is required.”
Sessions run from 11 am to 7 pm on Saturday; 8 am to 1 pm on Sunday.
$900 per person; group size limited to 9 participants.
